Dr. Levy Mokgale Motebejane Meets Senator Dr. Linda Nxumalo to Promote Faith-Based Higher Education in Eswatini
Jefferson International University of Baptist (JIUB) continues to expand its global mission of providing quality faith-based education through meaningful international engagement and strategic partnerships.
Recently, Dr. Levy Mokgale Motebejane, Academic Council Member of Jefferson International University of Baptist, met with Senator Dr. Linda Nxumalo of the Kingdom of Eswatini to discuss opportunities for strengthening Christian education, leadership development, and church capacity-building within Eswatini and across Africa.
The meeting focused on the growing need for educated and well-trained church leaders who can effectively serve their congregations while addressing the social, spiritual, and administrative challenges facing churches in today's world. Both leaders shared a vision of empowering pastors, church elders, ministry workers, fathers, youth leaders, and Christian professionals through accessible and internationally recognized higher education programs.
Particular attention was given to two of the University's most impactful programs:
**Bachelor of Christian Leadership**
This program prepares current and future Christian leaders with strong biblical foundations, leadership skills, ethical decision-making abilities, and practical ministry knowledge. It is designed to help graduates become effective leaders within churches, ministries, communities, and faith-based organizations.
**Bachelor of Church Administration**
This program equips church leaders, pastors, and administrators with the knowledge required to effectively manage church operations, finances, human resources, strategic planning, governance, and ministry development. The curriculum combines Christian values with modern administrative practices to support sustainable church growth and effective ministry management.
During the discussions, both leaders explored ways to encourage pastors, bishops, church administrators, ministry workers, and Christian community members to pursue higher education in order to strengthen their leadership capabilities and enhance the effectiveness of their ministries.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of continuous learning within the Christian community and the role of faith-based higher education in developing leaders who can positively impact churches, families, communities, and nations.
