Dr. Chrishantha JKM Dissanayake is an eminent Sri Lankan scholar, diplomatic representative, and award-winning humanitarian leader with over 25 years of extensive experience in philosophy, professional counseling, and global peace advocacy. He holds an Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration from an international university and is currently a PhD Candidate in Ethical Philosophy, conducting specialized research on critical conscience and human reasoning. Currently serving as the Commissioner for Sri Lanka and National Volunteer Coordinator (NVC) of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC), and Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations Association (UNA) of Sri Lanka, Dr. Dissanayake is a respected voice in international relations, diplomacy, and community development. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Shri Hela Higher Education Academy and the Shri Hela Cultural Collaboration Foundation, a global initiative dedicated to uniting diverse cultures and promoting world peace through education and cultural exchange. As a highly accomplished youth, child, and family mental health counselor and motivational speaker, he has provided professional counseling services for more than 25 years. He is a recipient of the prestigious Presidential Commendation Award for his exceptional contributions to drug prevention, rehabilitation, and family counseling. Dr. Dissanayake has been appointed as an All-Island Justice of the Peace (JP) by the Ministry of Justice, Sri Lanka, and is internationally recognized as a Global Peace Ambassador and member of the International Committee for Peacebuilding. His educational and NGO leadership includes serving as Chief Representative for Sri Lanka in the Japan-Korea-Sri Lanka Educational Exchange Program, Country Representative for a prominent Japanese NGO, member of the International Center for Peace Studies (ICPS), and national course coordinator for vocational education and skills development institutions. He is also the Founder of the Sithnana Isuru Society, a youth-focused initiative dedicated to drug prevention and social empowerment. Beyond academia, he is an internationally recognized cultural leader, director, scriptwriter, investigative journalist, and award-winning environmentalist. As an ordained Evangelist and Gospel Speaker, he serves as Founder-Chairman of the Organization for Protecting All Christian Rights, promoting religious harmony, community welfare, and interfaith understanding.
