JIUB exists to glorify God by providing faith-based, Christ-centered academic programs that prepare students to serve the church, community, and world through biblically grounded ministry, leadership, and service.
We aim to foster spiritual maturity, doctrinal soundness, and vocational excellence, grounded in the inspired and infallible Word of God.

As a Baptist theological institution, JIUB upholds the Bible as the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We affirm the historic Christian faith, including:

Governance and Accreditation
JIUB is organized and governed as a religious institution. Our Board of Trustees and academic leadership consist exclusively of Christian leaders committed to advancing the Kingdom of God.
JIUB is exempt from licensure under Section 1005.06(1)(f), Florida Statutes, as a religious institution. We are a faith-based organization whose educational offerings are exclusively focused on religious training and do not purport to offer degrees in secular or professional fields..
